The full & half marathons are qualifiers for the Boston Marathon. The Runs do not start or end at a City facility, but the run routes do include a small area of city roadways. Proceeds from the Runs benefit Skagit County parks & trails, and scholarships for local students.
The Runs are limited to a maximum of 800 participants.

Organizers have provided a COI indicating coverage at $2M per occurrence and $5M GA and an Endorsement meeting the City's Additional Insured requirements.

RUN ROUTE:
Start Line: All 3 runs -- the Full, the Half and the 5k begin at W. Victoria Avenue by BEHS's bus loop. Runners head west out of town via Norris Street to Peterson Road to Pulver Road. Skagit Runners has coordinated directly with the school district for use of their property.
Finish Line: The 3 runs are out-and-back courses finishing at BEHS’ Kirkby Field. Turnaround for the Full Marathon is at Thomas/Sunset Roads’ intersection; the Half’s turnaround is along Benson Road; turnaround for the 5k is on Peterson Road shortly after its intersection with Avon Allen Road.
Route are signed with marking paint, cones and traffic control volunteers.
Check-in begins at 6:30AM on event day at BEHS. Runners are encouraged to pick up their packets prior to event day at the Burlington Hampton Inn.
Both the Full and the Half marathons begin at 8:15AM; 5k begins at 8:30AM. There is a 6-hour maximum window for the runs - all runners should be off the road by 2:30PM.
Setup for the route begins at 5AM on event day; cleanup is expected to be complete the same afternoon by 4PM.
ATTENDANCE/STAFF:
Organizers will allow a maximum of 800 participants (for all runs). Expected participation is nearer 500 with the majority in the Half. Skagit Runners expects 60’ish volunteers/staff to oversee the runs and staff the routes.
