Please join Community Action as we welcome Jonathan Martin, editor of the Seattle Times’ Project Homeless as our keynote speaker at the Spirit of Hope event on October 11, 2018. Our keynote speaker Jonathan Martin will address our attendees on the power of unraveling the stories behind homelessness, why it is important and how it leads to solutions.
Martin is part of a community-funded team of reporters and producers focused on explaining the regional crisis of homelessness and spotlighting potential solutions. His national and local perspective on homelessness is informing and inspiring. This is an annual fundraising event for Community Action of Skagit County. Tickets are $25 (full and half tables are available). Tickets include heavy hors-d'oeuvres, one drink ticket, and a bid number for you to use during the raise the paddle in an effort to raise $50,000. Register now, you will not want to miss this event!
At this year’s Spirit of Hope fundraiser, we will feature stories of success and hope from our clients, solution providers, and donors. Through the beautiful artistry of photographer Lisa Kuhnlein, a photography exhibit of Profiles in Hope will be on display. Come and meet some of the subjects in these photos and celebrate their journeys. The exhibit will travel after the main event in different areas in our community.
Enjoy a cocktail fundraising event that will pull at your heartstrings, inspire your belief in humanity,
and show how your donations lead to changes in people’s lives. To register, visit www.CommunityActionSkagit.org
