Skagit Land Trust manages two citizen science projects on its Skagit County Conservation Areas. In the spring, volunteers wade or canoe through wetlands looking for amphibian egg masses as a way to measure the health of amphibian populations in the area. In this presentation, you will learn how and why Skagit Land Trust conducts the annual egg mass survey and the 2020 results. We will also discuss our great blue heron monitoring project and other citizen science programs that you can get involved with. Public participation in science is a great way to learn new things and give back to the community!
