This position is responsible for the preparation, implementation, clean up and/or on sight supervision of a variety of recreational day camps and day trips while supervising youth elementary and middle school age within the Burlington Parks & Recreation Department. Safety and supervision of camp participants are the top focus of this program followed by fun.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Requires previous experience working with youth, volunteers and supervising youth recreation activities is desirable or any equivalent combination of experience and education to provide the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the work required of this position.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working at a day camp program preferably in a leadership role. • Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License; ability to operate a 12 passenger van. Must have excellent driving record and provide a driving abstract upon job offer. • Must be able to successfully pass a background check required for employees working with minors. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. • Possession of, or have the ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications prior to start of camp. • Must provide own transportation to work site.
