    The Production Supervisor manages production during a given shift—overseeing the staff, ensuring quality control, monitoring equipment, and handling all other day-to-day aspects of production. 
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
     
    • Ensure Operations staff are following all safety procedures for operations and equipment.
    • Oversee and provide training and technical assistance to all Operations staff and ensure that all employees are adhering to best practices.
    • Identify and share any safety concern to your Shift Supervisor immediately upon observation.
    • Oversee and provide constant training and technical assistance to all Operation staff to ensure all work instructions and best practices are being observed.
    • Report any defective/non-conforming product or behavior to your Shift Supervisor immediately upon observation. 
    • Perform quality control as required and instructed by the Production and Quality leaders and staff. 
    • Ensure traceability of the product and its components through proper use of the Data Collection System, ensuring that the system is always active and functional. 
    • Check and ensure the minimum stock of raw materials in production necessary to fulfill the production schedule, refilling, and ordering as required. 
    • Solve “first-level of maintenance issues " on production equipment in collaboration with the Maintenance Technician.
    • Work with the Maintenance Technicians to resolve maintenance problems.
    • Meet with the Lead Hands and Shift Supervisors of the previous and subsequent shifts, to share information about problems and solutions implemented during their shift. 
    • Inform the Production Manager about issues regarding production, quality, process, and/or organization of personnel or resources immediately upon observation. 
    • Propose improvements to all procedures and processes to the Production Manager. 
    • Maintain the ability to perform all tasks associated with production in order to stand in for any operation staff in any area during breaks and/or absences. 
    • Work overtime as necessary. 
    • Minimize the risk of accidents and quality issues through training and observation. 
    • Maximize the technical knowledge and the engagement of the operations staff, the uptime of the equipment, and the quality of the finished product.
    • Achieve the production goals and improvements outlined by the Production Manager. 
    • Communicate company goals and information to Operation staff as needed.
    • Work with other teams to ensure improvements and efficiencies are being maximized across the organization.
    • Build the spirit of collaboration and teamwork. 
    • Complete other tasks as directed by management.
     
    Education and Experience:
    Required:
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 3+ years of production experience
    • Knowledge of process improvement, budgets, and production standards
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
    • Organization and time-management skills
    • Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to distinguish between colors 
    • Problem-solving skills

    • Ability to work flexible and/or rotating shifts 
    • Team and customer oriented attitude
    • Attention to detail 
    • Ability to head a team successfully and resolve personnel issues quickly and efficiently
     
    Preferred:  
    • 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation
    • Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems
     
    Physical Requirements: 
     
    • Noise Exposure: Elevated levels: 75% of time
