• City of Sedro-Woolley to host town hall with 39th District legislators (GoSkagit.Com Article)

    SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The city of Sedro-Woolley will host a town hall Saturday with the state legislators from the 39th District.

    The town hall is 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers.

    State Sen. Keith Wagoner and representatives Carolyn Eslick and Sam Low will provide updates on key bills important to the people of Skagit County as the Legislature passes the midway point of its 105-day session.

    Residents of the 39th District will have a chance to ask questions and share their concerns regarding the current legislative session.

    Wagoner is the Senate’s Republican whip and serves on three Senate committees: Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources and Parks; Law and Justice; and Ways and Means.

    Eslick serves on four state House committees: Human Services, Youth and Early Learning, Capital Budget, and Education.

    Low, who is in his first term in office, is on four committees: Transportation, Housing, Rules, and State Government and Tribal Relations.
