• Commissioners Wesen, Browning take oath of office

    January 05, 2021

Today, Commissioners Wesen and Browning took their oath of office for their 2021-2024 term. Commissioner Wesen was first elected in 2009 and is serving his fourth term. Commissioner Browning was elected in 2020 and this will be his first term in office. Today’s ceremony took place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve Skagit County residents,” said Commissioner Ron Wesen, “I’ve lived here my whole life, and not a day goes by where I’m not thankful I get to work to make my home a better place to be.”

Commissioner Browning said, “I am excited to get to work. There are a lot of problems facing our community right now and I’m looking forward to helping wherever I can.”

Both Commissioners’ terms run until December 2024. Commissioner Janicki also serves on the board. Her term current term will end in 2022.
