    Internationally Renowned Genealogy Expert and Author - Dave Obee
    Saturday, January 12, 2019, 1-3pm at the Burlington Public Library

    BURLINGTON -- The Skagit Valley Genealogical Society (SVGS) is delighted to announce that  internationally acclaimed Canadian journalist, genealogy author and lecturer, Dave Obee of Victoria, B.C., Canada will be speaking at SVGS' January 12, 2019 meeting. Mr. Obee's topic is: "Germans from Russia: A Case Study."  Mr. Obee is the former president of the Federation of Eastern European Family History Societies (FEEFHS) and a recognized expert on Eastern European genealogy research.

    SVGS' Saturday, January 12, 2019 meeting will be held from 1:00-3:00pm at the Burlington Public Library, 820 E. Washington Avenue in downtown Burlington. SVGS monthly education programs at the Burlington Public Library are free and the public is welcome to attend. SVGS membership is encouraged to enable the society to provide similar educational genealogy programs for the community.
