MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: KRISTIE MINKOFF OF WHERE THE HEART IS
At Where the Heart is Assisted Living and Memory Care, residents enjoy an active, engaging lifestyle that promotes wellness and independence. It is our goal to keep our residents linked to resources and opportunities that will fulfill their needs and interests in the Burlington area. Residents have many opportunities to participate in a variety of life enriching activities and events designed to stimulate the mind, body and soul. From cocktail-hour gatherings where you can learn about the nuances of a good Pinot Noir, to a discussion of the latest best seller in our Life-Long Learning series, to exploring new ways to stay healthy in a fitness class.
Involvement in the surrounding community is important to us. Each year our residents, their families, community members and our staff combine skills on a variety of projects, intergenerational programs, volunteering, and fundraising efforts creating partnerships that enhance the lives of everyone involved.
Where the Heart is Assisted Living and Memory Care also includes a specially designed neighborhood to serve the special needs of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other forms of memory loss. Every day we make it a goal to go above and beyond to enrich the lives of our residents. With our Life Enrichment program, a Montessori-focused philosophy for care, we create a specialized, life-enriching environment that affords each individual maximum self-expression. BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: MIKE DYBERG OF DYBERG AVIATION
Mike Dyberg has lived in Skagit county with his wife Connie for over 5 years. They own Dyberg
Aviation located at Skagit Regional Airport that offers flying lessons, aircraft rentals, flight reviews,
scenic flights, summer aviation youth camps. Mike is a Burlington Chamber Ambassador and
Board Member, is on the board of the Skagit Airport Support Association and a member of
the Skagit Airport Master Plan Advisory Committee. Mike is also the Aircraft Owners and Pilots
Association representative for Skagit Regional Airport. In addition, he has been involved with
many local community activities.
Mike is a master pilot and certified flight instructor with experience flying over 25 types of aircraft from single engine to multiple engines. Mike grew up in an Air Force family traveling the world with his father, an Air Force Colonel and pilot. His career was in project management and computer science prior to starting Dyberg Aviation.
