• Skagit Valley Genealogical Society to feature Historian and Genealogy Expert at its 2019 Nordic Roots Seminar

    MOUNT VERNON – The Skagit Valley Genealogical Society (SVGS) is hosting “Nordic Roots” a genealogy seminar featuring experts on Swedish and Viking research. Genealogist Evelyn Roehl will discuss Swedish American and Sweden based records and research methods. Viking historian Torolf Torgerson will discuss the cultural influences of the Vikings and Norse naming patterns.
     
    Nordic Roots will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019, 9:00am - 3:30pm, 1st United Methodist Church, 1607 E. Division St., Mount Vernon. Visit skagitvalleygenealogy.org for details and to register.
