Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County Breakfast for GREAT Kids
Can a Breakfast Change Lives?
Ours will absolutely transform them.
Every parent knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. For Club youth, the Breakfast for GREAT Kids is the most important meal of the year.
Our Campaign for GREAT Kids culminates with Breakfast. The funds raised at this event will provide over 1,700 kids & teens in our Clubs with the critical skills they need now and for the future. By making a sacrificial contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, folks from across this community will provide the hope & opportunity youth need: to believe that they can achieve success; to get inspired about a career possibility they might never otherwise encounter or even dream of; to develop the relationships & have the leadership experiences that will define their future and the future of this community.
Breakfast for GREAT Kids is an incredible morning event that highlights the support of everyday people in this area & their commitment to creating life-changing opportunities for the youth growing up in our communities. It is our very visible way of recognizing & celebrating the support that we receive from major partners in the community, while increasing the depth & breadth of that support. This event is about supporting the Skagit Clubs’ mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Breakfast is attended by community leaders, business owners, and folks from all backgrounds who generously donate in support of our outcome-driven programs during the event. Proceeds from the Breakfast for Great Kids directly fund Targeted Programs that support the Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles for youth ages 6-18 from every community across Skagit County. This event also features youth speakers of all ages, including our newly minted Skagit Youth of the Year, Kyla Whiton, who will share her Club story about how her life has been transformed.
So, come! Join us for a hearty meal to start your day off on the best foot. Sharing a meal with your fellow Club supporters will be the highlight of your day—and even if breakfast doesn’t change your life, your support will change the lives of real kids & teens in Skagit County who need our help to make the most of their opportunities. 2019 Annual Breakfast for GREAT Kids Wednesday, March 13th from 7:30am to 9:00am McIntyre Hall Performing Arts and Conference Center (2501 E College Way, Mount Vernon, WA)
