Calling all health advocates, policy makers & stakeholders!
Please join us for Skagit County health updates: Progress Addressing the Opioid Epidemic, First 1,000 Days Initiative, the Health & Housing connection. Come hear about important health data & our 2019 Health Goals
“Powerful Partnerships - Healthy Community” event is a celebration of community partners and agencies who have worked tireless to improve health for everyone in Skagit County. We are looking forward to sharing our journey which began in 2015 with the founding of the Population Health Trust Advisory Committee (PHT or Trust) and our progress to date.
Immediately after a thorough assessment of health needs and interests involving almost 2,000 community members, the 33 organizations that make up the Trust set to work addressing issues such as opioids, housing and maternal child health. We’ll share with you changes in services that are available and the community’s awareness of issues as a result of our work together. You’ll see that partnerships and a shared vision directly impact the health outcomes we see in the community.
Join us for an afternoon of conversation, networking and looking ahead to additional opportunities to positively impact the health of Skagitonians. We’ll end the evening with the presentation of the Skagit Change Maker-Award inspired by the life of Terry Belcoe. The award will honor a community member who is dedicated to action, crosses organizational boundaries and is solution oriented. The Powerful Partnership event will be the start of an annual tradition for community members to review our collective efforts to improve health and wellness, assess the latest data trends, set our sights on future needs and explore ways we can work together to improve the quality of life for all.
We look forward to sharing this evening with you and celebrating our community efforts.
Light refreshments and a no-host bar will be provided.
