• Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 Summer Event Schedule

  • Birch Bay, WA – The Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2 and Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism, is thrilled to announce a summer full of fun, family-friendly events for residents and visitors alike. From kites to classic cars, sand sculptures to community gatherings, Birch Bay is the place to be this summer!
    Mark your calendars for these exciting and free events:

    • Kid's Kite Festival @ Birch Bay State Park – June 21–22
      Watch the skies fill with color during this whimsical weekend designed for families. Free kites for kids (while supplies last), interactive entertainment (live music, Wren the Juggler, Big Bubble Show, Friends of Birch Bay Library/FOBBL Story Time and more), food and craft vendors, and beachside fun await.
    • July 5th Beach Cleanup – July 5
      Help keep Birch Bay beautiful! Join community members in a post-holiday cleanup effort to protect our beaches and marine life. Supplies provided.
    • Sand Sculpture Competition – July 26
      One of Birch Bay's most beloved traditions returns! Join teams of all ages as they create incredible sand art along the tide flats. Prizes awarded for creativity and craftsmanship. Live music with Whiplash Rodeo, plus food vendors, a beer garden, and more at The Birch Bay Beach Park.
    • Rollback Weekend Car Show – July 27
      It’s a blast from the past with classic cars, coastal cruising, live music (North Sound Soul), food vendors, and a whole lot of chrome at the Birch Bay Beach Park!
    • National Night Out – August 5
      Celebrate community and safety with Birch Bay's annual evening of family fun and meet-and-greets with local first responders. Free pizza courtesy of Sahara Pizza!
    • Derby Day – August 23
      Participate in the FOBBL Fun Run! Cheer on the ducks during the always entertaining Duck Derby at Terrell Creek! Catch a limit of crab and enter the Billy Brown Crab Derby! Enjoy a crab boil at Bay Breeze Restaurant! Win prizes in the Poker Run! A day of friendly competition, great food, and community to close out the summer season.
