Hot Air Balloon Glow Spectacular

🎈 Hot Air Balloon Glow Spectacular at Berry Dairy Days 🎈
Friday Night Kick-Off: Skagit County’s first Hot Air Balloon Glow, in partnership with Seattle Ballooning

Kick off your Berry Dairy Days weekend with a truly unforgettable experience, Skagit County’s first-ever Hot Air Balloon Glow Spectacular at Skagit River Park in Burlington.

📅 Friday, June 19
🕘 Balloon inflation begins around 9:00 PM
Glow experience: 9:30 PM – 10:30 PM
📍 Skagit River Park, 1100 S Skagit Street, Burlington

As the sun sets, 4 to 5 massive hot air balloons slowly come to life across the field. There’s no rush and no loud distractions, just the quiet build of anticipation as pilots begin firing their burners and the balloons start to glow from within. One by one, they illuminate the night sky, creating waves of color, warmth, and movement that feel almost surreal when you’re standing right underneath them.

What makes this experience truly special is how close you can get. Guests are invited to walk among the balloons, watch the crews in action, talk with the pilots, and feel the heat of the burners as they ignite above you. It’s a rare opportunity to experience something this immersive in such an open and relaxed setting.

Whether you're bringing the kids, meeting up with friends, or simply looking for something unique to do after a full day at the festival, this is the perfect way to end your evening. And because it’s the first year, there’s a special “be there from the beginning” feeling that makes it even more memorable.

Free to attend for all ages

A special thank you to our Spark Supporters United General District #304 and Skagit Valley Co-Op for helping bring this first-ever community experience to life.
