Clarifying Our Role: Burlington Chamber Remains Independent and Member-Focused

Dear Members and Community Partners,

We appreciate you reaching out with your questions and for your continued trust in us as members and community partners. We remain proud to represent the Burlington Chamber members and the Burlington business community.

The Board of Directors and I want to address concerns following the recent announcement of a neighboring chamber’s name change.

The Burlington Chamber of Commerce was not involved in the neighboring chamber’s decision to rebrand as a regional chamber. While we value collaboration across Skagit County, it is important to clarify our role and representation.

Skagit County has a long history of regional collaboration. The Skagit Chamber Alliance, created by the six local chambers, provides a framework for coordinated legislative and advocacy efforts while preserving each chamber’s autonomy and local focus.

Strong, locally focused chambers are essential to economic vitality, preserving community identity, and delivering effective business advocacy. The Burlington Chamber remains independent, governed by its members, and fully committed to serving our members and the Burlington business community. Our mission, leadership, and focus remain unchanged.
