The Skagit Chamber Alliance (SCA) brings together Chamber Presidents and CEOs from across Skagit County to support a strong local business environment.
The Alliance meets regularly to discuss the needs of local businesses and identify shared priorities. Through its Joint Government Affairs Committee, the SCA advocates on behalf of businesses throughout the county and provides a unified voice on key policy issues.
Skagit County Chamber Alliance Legislative Priorities
Skagit Countyās Chambers of Commerce stand together through the Skagit Chamber Alliance to advocate for policies that help our businesses, workforce, and communities thrive.
Together, the SCA represents more than 1,455 businesses across Skagit County.
Expanding housing options supports families, workforce development, and local business growth. In Skagit County, limited housing availability drives up costs, pushes families out of the area, and makes it harder for employers to attract and retain workers.
Without meaningful solutions, businesses will continue to face challenges finding the talent needed to support agriculture, manufacturing, maritime, and service industries.
Key Challenges:Ā
- Rising housing costs place financial pressure on families and reduce disposable income.
- Limited workforce housing makes it harder for employers to recruit and retain employees.
- A lack of available housing restricts growth opportunities for local businesses.
- Development restrictions may limit needed housing solutions.
