Stephanie Rees, President & CEO of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Regent Scholarship through the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management.
This national honor reflects Stephanie’s consistent hard work, forward-thinking leadership, and deep commitment to strengthening Burlington’s business climate. From championing local employers to expanding member programs and partnerships, her dedication continues to move the Chamber and our business community forward.
A National Honor for Local Leadership
The Regent Scholarship is awarded to chamber and association professionals nationwide who demonstrate strong involvement in professional organizations, meaningful community service, and a proven track record of leadership.

Stephanie’s selection is a testament not only to her professional accomplishments but also to the countless hours she invests behind the scenes advocating for businesses, building strategic relationships, and ensuring the Chamber delivers real value to its members.
What the Institute Experience Means
Since 1921, the Institute for Organization Management has helped tens of thousands of chamber, association, and nonprofit leaders strengthen their organizations and better serve their members.
The program includes:

Four weeklong sessions held at university locations across the country

Coursework in leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership

Interactive learning and national networking opportunities

A total of 96 hours of nonprofit management instruction
Through this scholarship opportunity, Stephanie will be able to fast-track advanced leadership training, bringing back innovative strategies and fresh insight that will directly benefit Burlington’s business community.
Upon completing the four-year curriculum, participants earn the IOM graduate recognition and may apply their credits toward the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE) credentials.

Stephanie’s selection reflects not only her personal leadership but also the Burlington Chamber’s ongoing commitment to professional excellence and community impact. The knowledge and connections gained through the Institute program will help strengthen the Chamber’s ability to serve local businesses and advocate for economic vitality in Burlington and across the region. Stephanie's fourth and final year of IOM before receiving her certification will be spent at Villanova University in Pennsylvania in late July.
