Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

By applying for membership, using services, attending events, or accessing resources provided by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce (“the Chamber”), you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

2. Membership Eligibility & Application

  • Membership is open to businesses, organizations, and individuals that support the Chamber’s mission.

  • All applications are subject to approval by the Board of Directors or a designated committee.

  • Membership dues must be paid annually or as otherwise specified.

3. Member Obligations

  • Members shall uphold the Chamber’s values and conduct themselves professionally.

  • Members must not use the Chamber’s name or logo without prior written consent.

  • Members shall not engage in conduct that damages the reputation of the Chamber.

4. Dues & Payments

  • Membership dues are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Failure to pay dues may result in suspension or termination of membership.

  • The Chamber reserves the right to change membership fees with advance notice.

5. Events & Programs

  • Event registrations are binding; cancellations are subject to the Chamber’s refund policy.

  • The Chamber may cancel or reschedule events; in such cases, liability is limited to a refund of the registration fee.

6. Use of Information

  • Members consent to the inclusion of their business information in Chamber directories and publications.

  • The Chamber will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • The Chamber is not liable for any damages arising from the use of its services, resources, or participation in events.

  • Members agree to indemnify the Chamber against claims arising from their actions.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All Chamber materials, logos, and content remain the intellectual property of the Chamber.

  • Members may not reproduce, distribute, or use such materials without permission.

9. Termination of Membership

  • The Chamber may suspend or terminate membership for violation of these Terms.

  • Members may resign at any time; but they are not entitled to a refund of dues paid.

10. Amendments

  • These Terms may be amended by the Chamber with reasonable notice to members. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of changes.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State [or appropriate jurisdiction].
